May 03, 2025

All members of the Li Lab set out on an exciting journey throughout the heart of Pennsylvania.
Lancaster – Harrisburg - State College.

We began our journey with "Amish Buffet" nearby Lancaster. The lab discussed about the feasibility of moving the dry-lab part to an Amish village, and came to the conclusion that electricity would become an issue.

We visited Harrisburg, capitol of Pennsylvania.
After a guided tour of the State Capitol Complex, the lab took a scenic walk along the Susquehanna river.

On the second day, the lab went for an adventurous trip to the Penn's Cave.
The temperature within this 1,300 feet long cave remains a constant 52 degrees Fahrenheit year round.

...on a bus tour of the wildlife park, we spotted a bison calf, a wolf pack of five, two red/silver foxes, and many white tailed deer.
Fun fact: silver fox is the melanistic form of red fox due to recessive genes.

There were heavy rains on our way back. Stil, we all made our home safe and sound.
Looking forward to our next lab trip soon!
